Thermoscale Film: application example n.° 01 - AFC Bonding in LCD Panels
In LCD production, anisotropic conductive film (ACF) is used to attach the driver IC by applying it under pressure and heat with the bonding tool.
If the heat is not evenly distributed across the adhesion surface, the ACF may not adhere properly, leading to defects. Thermoscale 200 provides an
easy-to-read visual map to assess the uniformity or suitability of heat distribution.
Thermoscale Film: application example n.° 02 - Thermal Welding Packaging
Thermal sealing is commonly used to seal food packages, medical supplies, and products such as lithium-ion batteries. A heating block applies heat to the end
of the package to seal it. If the heat is unevenly distributed along the seal or if the heating block does not heat sufficiently, the sealing will be defective.
Thermoscale 200 can be used to assess the amount of heat applied to the package.
Thermoscale Film: application example n.° 03 - EVA Bonding of Solar Panels
In the production of solar panels, the cells placed between the glass substrate and the protective film layer are bonded under vacuum with EVA resin in a laminator.
If the heat distribution is not uniform, the resin may polymerize unevenly, affecting the quality of the bonding, which, although initially strong, may
degrade over time if not optimal. Thermoscale 200 allows for the detection of these thermal inconsistencies.
Thermoscale Film: application example n.° 04 - Thermal Fusing in Photocopiers
In office laser copiers (and/or multifunction printers), the fuser rollers use heat to melt the toner and fuse it with the paper to reproduce text and images.
However, if the heat is not distributed evenly or if there are scratches on the roller surface, the copy may not be reproduced correctly.
Thermoscale 100 allows for the detection of thermal irregularities and/or scratches on the fuser roller surface.
