Fuji Film FUD-7010E: FAQ - Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Fuji Film FUD-7010E: FAQ - Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Below are answers to the most commonly asked questions about the FUD-7010E analysis software for use with UVscale film. The answers are summarized below and can be accessed individually by clicking on each one.
Should I save the data every time I measure UV light intensity?
The saving of detected data is recommended in all cases where one wishes to create a history of measurements, or whenever it is necessary to preserve
an image and the related data computed by the FUD-7010E software in a reliable and lasting way. The UVscale film, in fact, remains to some extent
photosensitive, hygroscopic, and partly also thermosensitive (as explained in the manual, the conditions in which it is stored are fundamental).
Therefore, in the long term, the film may alter the impressed image, also because the chemical reagents deposited on the film tend to continue their
reaction over time. Return to FAQ list
Why are updates sometimes made available for the FUD-7010E software?
Sometimes Fuji Film makes improvements and optimizations to certain elements of its FUD-7010E analysis software. Return to FAQ list
Can I use a scanner with higher resolution?
No, the FUD-7010E analysis software is configured and guaranteed by Fuji Film to work only with the recommended compatible scanners. Return to FAQ list
Do you provide maintenance services?
No, regular maintenance is not required. The FUD-7010E software performs calibration upon system startup to check for changes in characteristics and deterioration of the scanner. Return to FAQ list
Can I purchase only the software for the FUD-7010E system?
No. The accessory components (scanner cover and calibration sheet) are necessary for the correct use and calibration of the system, including the
compatible scanner (which can, however, be purchased separately). For any use of the data computed by the FUD-7010E system on other PC systems,
possibly equipped with different software, information is provided regarding the structure of the FUD file. Return to FAQ list
